Sara, Hairdresser, & Ben Telecommunications Engineer, both 29, married at the King Evelthon Beach Hotel & Resort in Paphos on the 16th June 2017.
We first met in primary school age where we even shared a playground romance before going on separate journeys, until we reunited around 6 years ago after chatting on Facebook.
Ben surprised Sara by proposing to her whilst they was on a winter holiday in New York City. Ben chose a rose gold Morganite diamond halo engagement ring for Sara and went down on one knee at the River Café restaurant beneath Brooklyn Bridge where she gladly said ‘yes’.
Sara chose the first and only dress she tried on. The colour of the tulle skirt was blush with a layer of champagne and a top layer in ivory. The see through netted back was complimented by a line of buttons surrounded by an elegant floral stitching. Sara wore a rose gold bangle and to match her engagement ring, rose gold Morganite earrings. In her hair she wore fresh flowers.
We chose the King Evelthon Beach Hotel & Resort for both our wedding ceremony and reception because it caught our eye as soon as we began looking, its modern fresh appearance was just how we imagined our wedding abroad. We chose the rooftop terrace for our wedding reception because of the stunning views it offers, especially at sunset.
Roger Hale was our DJ for the evening who was fantastic in putting together a mixture of both our chosen songs and classic dancefloor songs. Roger also took many requests from our wedding guests which went down very well. Our first dance song was Conor Maynard’s cover of Chris Brown’s Next to You
Our top table was decorated with glass hurricane lanterns and ivory church candles. Whilst the Guest tables were decorated with jam jars and wine bottles decorated with jute cord, wild flowers/herbs along with round log slices and glass t-light holders.
We loved the whole day from start to finish but we particular enjoyed our time together having our sunset photos with the Aphrodite Productions team. Then partying the night away on the rooftop terrace with our fantastic guests.
My advice: Don’t let the planning get on top of you, the day will run smoothly just let your wedding planner take the stress away and the day will run just fine. Anita and the rest of the Tsokkos team were absolutely brilliant and they are great at what they do.
